Zombie Skills & Specialization

Every worker zombie has individual skill progression, and the official log links stronger development potential to corruption and red skulls. That is enough to plan observation, but not enough to publish thresholds, caps, skill trees, or an optimal corpse recipe.

System confirmed · details need launch verification

Confirmed now

  • Individual zombies progress skills.
  • Different jobs require specialization.
  • More corrupted zombies can develop better skills according to the developer log.
  • Corruption uses the red-skull language familiar from the first game.

Launch check

  • Skill names, ranks, caps, and job-specific effects.
  • The exact relationship between red skulls and skill potential.
  • Respec, retraining, failure, and transfer rules.

FIELD DECISION / 01

What to do with this information

  1. Record a worker’s starting state before training.
  2. Change one variable at a time when testing corruption and skills.
  3. Do not destroy a useful corpse chasing an unverified threshold.

LEDGER NOTE / 02

Why exact numbers wait

A developer statement can prove a relationship without proving its formula. “More corrupted” establishes direction; it does not establish breakpoints, linear scaling, or an upper cap. This page will publish numbers only when they can be reproduced in a named build.

LEDGER NOTE / 03

A useful launch test

Compare workers with different visible corruption states on the same role, at the same progression point, with the same equipment. Capture the skill panel before and after a consistent task. This creates evidence for a guide without turning one anecdote into a universal rule.
